Weatherization

WMECo partners with local Community Action Agencies to provide valuable weatherization measures to help renters and homeowners reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient and comfortable. This program provides services to income-eligible customers, regardless of the heat source. Do I qualify?

During the Visit

Specialists will assess the home’s energy efficiency and perform a wide range of weatherization services including but not limited to installing compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs), caulking drafts, cracks and leaks in your windows and doors, and installing water-saving faucet aerators and showerheads. In addition, the energy auditors will assess the level of insulation in your home, as well as the energy use of your current refrigerator and freezer to determine if they qualify for replacement.

How Do I Apply?

To sign up for services, please complete this application (PDF:577KB) or call 1-800-388-9727 if you need assistance. Tenants/renters must have their landlord complete the Landlord Permission Statement, which is included with the application, in order for services to be rendered.
